What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an ancient healing power that was discovered in China over 3,000 years ago. It is a safe, natural, and drug-free way to effectively achieve optimal health. It helps to remove blockages and imbalances in the body to reestablish a free flow of energy. It also works to activate the body’s natural healing abilities in order to repair, support, and strengthen the body. This will help to address any present health concerns that you may be suffering from, as well as prevent any future diseases and illnesses from occurring.

Most people describe acupuncture as virtually painless and say that they feel inner peace and a deep relaxation during and after their session. In fact, sterile disposable acupuncture needles are 25-50 times thinner than a hypodermic needle, so it should be less painful than pulling out a hair.

What is different about Community Acupuncture?

We treat in a group setting and offer an affordable $20-$40 sliding scale. (There is a $10 paperwork fee for first visit). While we have private sessions, we are a growing number of clinics in the USA that are bringing affordable acupuncture to anyone who needs it. This allows you to get the help you need and come as often as you need to. Our patients lie in recliners, clustered in groups in a quiet, soothing space. This has many benefits: It is easy for family and friends to come in and receive treatment together, many patients find it comforting, and collective energy becomes established, which makes individual treatments more powerful. Our room has six chairs and a massage table. We can treat most conditions reclined, even back pain.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture is a natural rejuvenation of the face based on Chinese Medicine. It builds collagen, tightens muscles, reduces wrinkles, helps balance hormones, defines jaw lines, and reduces sun damage. We are certified in Cosmetic Acupuncture and will provide a series of treatments that aim to treat you inside and out. This treatment is very popular among celebrities because along with improving the skin’s current appearance, it can also be used to prevent the face from future damage.

Cupping Therapy, Moxa, and Heat Therapy

Cupping Therapy, Moxa, and Heat Therapy are all extremely effective manual therapies. Cupping therapy uses heated glass cups to apply acupressure on the patient’s skin. Moxa is a form of traditional Chinese and Japanese Medicine that uses a heated herbal stick to warm certain points of the body. Heat Therapy is ideal for pain relief and inflammation. It involves warming a certain area of the body using an infrared lamp.

Tui-Na massage

Tui-Na massage is a therapeutic Chinese medical massage that has been used extensively in China for over 2,000 years. It involves deep-tissue bodywork and uses eight main massage techniques to bring stimulation to the muscles. It is used to treat an array of conditions and is also a highly effective means of joint restoration. This form of massage is appropriate for both acute and chronic pain and aids in the maintenance of optimal health and the prevention of disease.

Tai Chi / Qi Gong Class

Tai Chi / Qi Gong originated in China as a form of martial arts. Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as “meditation in motion” because it uses gentle flowing movements and deep breathing to aid in health, martial arts, and self-enlightenment. Tai Chi / Qi Gong are mind-body practices that aid in stress management, healing, longevity, breathing, and improving overall health and body shaping.
